how about a beats of rage (BOR) game? it is a game that can be played on PSP
BOR has up, down, left, right in terms of place you can navigate in a game

if anyone wants to try a BOR game made by someone completely fan-made
here is one by betterbold from GLB team (although this is just his game, not the work of whole GLB team)

I can't download the game at my current location due to the crappy internet provided but I believe the game genre is like an arcade beat'em up, similar to an LF2 mod? Although this is a much better engine than LF2 imo, my preference is still geared towards making it a game similar to JUS although once again I'm not a coder and I'll be happy with what ever is easiest for the coders we can gather.

It's pretty much super smash brothers with the tag out ability haha. A good example is Super Smash Flash 2 links provided. They ofcourse do not offer the tag out ability as it's not in SSB but I can't imagine it being to difficult to add.

Okay, after reading all that, here are my thoughts:
I think at least 2 video editors would work better, that stuff takes time, one does the major video editing/splicing/whatever while the other handles the sounds department, just a thought.
My editing "ability" ends with the sound part, that's all I can do, put sound effects in place. And animating with gimp is my line, don't know how to do flash stuff. What Retro said about showing animations of movesets, that I can do.

Going a bit deeper into the game; I think JUS style of gameplay is the way to go, maybe add a bit of One Piece Gigant Battle mechanics to it if possible, but that's a bit too much at this point. I have a friend on Skype who studies vidoe game programming at school (as I recall he's currently like working on a game engine or something) I don't know if he could help a little with this stuff in anyway.

Hmm...was there anything else had in mind...

You rascal those aren't JUS styled we'll probably use Frieza, Cell, Buu, Caramel Man J, Dio, Sasuke, etc for bosses.

That could be useful! As for the rest of it I don't really have a say since I'm not aware of how to create videos but it sounds good to me lol

Figures there'd be a meeting during the time my computer was acting up. Sods law strikes again.

I would have liked it if people could perhapse sprite for my game ideas, I don't usually get far because I end up doing everything myself.
Then again I use Gamemaker alot so I shouldn't complain. Anywho, just throwing that out there, looks like you have a good direction already so I wont press at it.

Just one thought though, why did you choose such a complicated project for your forums first project?...Just a thought.

Anywho, back to whatever it is I was doing.

If I understood correctly, Desh, you code game maker? If so, and you are willing to help out, I would be more than happy to join you in the coding as long as you give me some guiding.

I can code in gamemaker a little bit, though I'm mediocre at it at best. I don't really know what your project is going to be really, I think you said something about Mugen and I can't seem to get my head around that program.

Okay, so I started digging into GM, it looks like a fun challenge. I'll keep looking into it even if we don't chose to go with GM system.
Once I can make like a real quick 2 char system, I'll let you guys know, and I can go from there. Meantime whatever else, I guess...
