Upon finding all kinds of sound effects I made couple of my animations into video formats and added sounds to them. Simple (So you'd think.)
Both are on dA as .gifs

First one is this:

Imageshack of course decreased the sound quality a bit.

Second one is the Zoro VS

Both include various sounds from One Piece Gigant Battled, Jump! Superstars, Goldeneye N64, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Tsuna's scream of course biggrin
The music is from One Piece of course "Spirited Swordsman Zoro" or whatever titles it may have.

Let me know what you guys think.

I do everything with Gimp, well...except the video editing part of course. But yeah, Gimp all the way, if you need details on the actual process of making, it's another topic of it's own I guess.

Yeah, I use GIMP to make my Gifs too, but I meant how did you get this GIF into a video or how did you put sound effects under it?

I used Gimp Video plugin's Master Videoencoder to make it into Avi format and then used a basic video editor and planted the sound files in the right spots.

Well it SHOULD be on Gimp's site, I use Linux which has it's own package manager program where you can find all the plug-ins and programs for your needs without opening a web browser. So that's all I can say.

But with the Video Plug-in. Next to the 'Filters' appears 'Video' which has a lot of cool things (most notable one is the Bluebox which turns selected color transparent, I love it :P)

I got Ubuntu, I'll check it out once my bro gets off the laptop.

Yeah, Ubuntu has this software thing where you can search all kinds of programs for Ubuntu. Do I have to search it there?

Correct, open Synaptic and search 'gimp video', install 'gimp-gap' (The Gimp Animation Package) that should do it. ^^
