This is a thread to show all the beginning spriters here the value of practice (and also to give you a chance to laugh at me XD). Way back when, when I first decided I wanted to start spriting, I was pretty ambitious. I wanted to do a whole sheet. What's more, I wanted to do it all custom. (Of course, I hadn't yet discovered editing, so that could have something to do with it.) Anyways, I made this Eragon sprite sheet that I never finished (thank god lol).

I'm not sure if anyone here has seen this before. Pretty sure this was before I met MM and Haku so yeah.
Basically I just want to let you all know not to get discouraged if your sprites aren't coming out the way you want them to. I don't claim to be a pro (far from it), but you can see pretty clearly by comparing this with my current gallery that practice can yield great results. And I've seen people here post sprites who show a LOT more potential than I ever did. So just remember that if you stick with it and keep striving to improve, maybe start with smaller things before moving up to more complicated projects, anyone here can become a great spriter.
Everyone, keep up the good work! biggrin

Oh god that is horrible xD

But it's nothing compared to mine on the horrible-scale. I don't have it, but it was a Zabuza head paste and-I'm just gonna end it there xD

Lol nice! I was amazed when I was digging through my old computer and I stumbled across this lol. Didn't think it was still there

At least it's not just the same body parts with a moved hand. Sure the outlines weren't great- but the motions don't seem too bad from what I can see. xD But, dang- you have improved a lot! I wish I still had my first sprites, so I could show you guys how bad I was xD

Lol thanks for that. And yeah I never thought I'd see this again lol. I only ever posted it on 3 sites and all 3 got either hacked or deleted

All I remember is that I made Naruto Hidden Leaf village wanna-be sprites. I feel gay even saying this.

Oh god that reminds me of the fan-characters that NSS had a section for xD
Although, It does bring back nostalgic memories of when I first started...*sniff*
