Stormy Saxophone 5

I will be making a pixel art piece inspired of a King of Fighters theme called Stormy Saxophone 5. I will be frequently updating this thread with my progress on the piece.

To get me started, I chose the background colour to build around. I did some colour research to help me choose the suitable colours.

I later decided that this piece was going to go be of a sunset, but with a bit of surrealism to get more of my creativity involved.

I don't have Photoshop with me right now so I can't make my later images transparent, which I apologise for.

Anyway, I started making clouds for the piece, and I decided to be cheesy on purpose and make a cloud in the shape of a saxophone since sunsets personally make me feel like it represents freedom.

To see the effect that it has on the background:

I'll probably make it blend a bit more later but I just wanted to carry on building up the atmosphere.

That's all that I have for now.

The only thing I can point out for now, is, I don't know how to call it, but I'm gonna say the perspective.
I take it that white sphere is the sun?
Since it's so low, and because of the colours, I also assume that it's sunset or something.
For the moment, I just don't really see what that yellow is supposed to be, you know, that yellow that's radiating from the sphere.
But yeah, it's WIP, and for now it looks great, except for the solid clouds, but as you stated, you will make them transparent biggrin

It doesn't quite remind me of a saxophone, more of a bong..........pretty much because I'm more acquainted with this type of sax http://www.wpclipart.com/music/instruments/saxophone/Saxophone.png Where the base doesn't go behind the stem and goes a bit higher up...............But then since it's a cloud it'd probably be harder to identify it as a sax..................in other words I don't like the shape of it, but I have no idea on how I would fix it.
