This definitely has more detail than JUS normally does. I think you're using too many colors or something. Otherwise the sprite checks out alright.

Mitsurugi is probably the best sprite that has been posted here.

Kilik's legs are too short. Way too short.

Simply lack of anatomy study, knowing that we even have a thread for that, and jagged outlining. Also, from my experience, don't copy existing shades from other sprites because it'll only leave you clueless of how to shade when you'll probably need to in the future. Art involves trial and error too. Actually taking an interest in your art will help you very much (research). Try to also experiment with colors or techniques, things like that. Art is much more fun that way. Really though, this will help you gain better anatomy knowledge:
