| Deshar is my favorite, it looks straight out of an old school dungeon side scroller game in my opinion and thus my vote goes to that sweet old school dragon!

Forgot you could tell what his intentions were when he was spriting the sprite? The object of this entire contest was to sprite a dragon, because I believe his intentions was to create what I stated above,then he's spot on.

| "The dragon type will be Western, that basically means a human kind of shape, Two wings, two arms, two legs and a tail."-This was the object. My personal opinion did NOT contradict this, the dragon had two wings two legs as well as, my goodness be read,y a tail. Gtfo you dumb troll until you can play nice.

Just voting is stating your personal opinion, the whole idea of a vote is for people to state their personal opinion on which is best. So I'm not sure what is wrong with using your opinion to state an opinion.

Voting is meant be objective. What's the point in holding a contest to see who can create the best sprite when people are just going to judge based on personal preference? You may as well forget about skill or execution and just sprite something that you know someone is going to like rather than something that will show your skills as a spriter.

I was refering to the dumb part. Just because someones opinion differs from yours doesn't mean they are dumb, calling someone as such is considered an insult.

What is best, what is skillful and what is good exectution is determined by whoevers opinion considers what is best/skillful/good execution.
But all of this is beside the point, this thread has been made so you can vote and explain why you voted as such, it is within each persons own rights to vote however they want without being questioned on their vote.
Oh and I forgot to vote. I'm going to vote snoop, I personally think his is better then mine or Aces.
Mine may be an accurate representation of the statue of a dragon I have in my room but it is incomplete and the detail is severly lacking, quite frankly the sprite I made and the statue I based it off actually look quite different. I know that this is probably the best sprite I have created so far but I am disappointed in it because it doesn't live up to my expectations of what I think it should have been.
Aces is again, not very detailed, my opinion is that it could have been worked on more and the face looks more like a catfish then a dragon in my opinion. That's not to say it doesn't look good, it has a whole load of dragon like characteristics but it doesn't remind me much of my idea of a dragon and from what I remember it doesn't look much like Toothless, the dragon I was told it was suppossed to represent.
Snoops is amasingly detailed, I hesitated on voting for it because he said he did it last minute, which means although the result looks great I get the feeling he didn't put much effort into it as I was told he didn't put much time into it. That being said, it's a great realistic depiction of a Charizard, although seemingly too realistic to be classed as a Charizard. I have some big issues with the sprite itself, first thing I noticed were the wings, the issue? Too thin for wings of a dragon of that size, and if they are meant to be angled away then this wasn't very well displayed, I also see a lack of detail in the wings when compared to the rest of the sprite, where two diagonal lines seem to make up the entirity of the wings detail. The other big issue I noticed later was the teeth, again its a detail issue when compared to the rest of the sprite, they look tacked on. The final issue I had with it was the thick outline of the sprite, whereas it may work well in some areas, it really looks out of place on the wings lower edge and make things like arms and legs seem very thin and barely usable.
Well that's my reasoning. Dispite the issues I have with snoops sprite, I still consider it the best.

True. I wanted to put more work into it, couldn't find the time I'm afraid  I'll have to give it another go someday.
I'm pretty much ready to call Snoop winner on this one. All of the current active members have cast their vote, so yeah. If MM agrees with me he can give his vote and we'll call it finished.
