Yeah, no. Objectively speaking, it's mediocre at best. Not trying to start an argument, but since games development is my forte, I gotta put my 2 cents (Or the English equivalency) in.
I've been playing Dark Souls and MvC3 mostly.
Arkham City should arrive in the mail soon.
But as for games that haven't been released yet, or only just released, I'm looking forward to playing Uncharted 3, UMvC3, AC:Revelations, Skyrim (although I doubt it will beat Dark Souls) and Saints Row.

Yeah I will say that the character creation and over-all game play don't look as good as I want to think it is, but I'd still rather attempt to play first.

If you're referring to attunement slots then Demon's Souls had those as well.
To be completely honest, Dark Souls isn't as hard as I thought it would be.
It just requires common sense.
Of course there's some parts of the game that are actually unfair, but they are few and far between.
If you just THINK about the situation then usually common sense will pull you through.
If you're reckless and run in 2-handed, no shield, and just mash R1 then you're going to be killed.
Upgraded Pyromancy also helps with this game. A lot.
