Bring back some activity

As I'm sure you've all noticed, activity here has become pretty much nonexistant. I'd like to change that. I'm gonna try and work on some more sprites (I have a few projects in mind) but one person can't revive a forum. I was thinking things were gonna get active again once people got some more time on their hands, but it's not good if the site dies completely before that happens.
So, anyone got any ideas for bringing some activity back to this place? And of course we can all try to make a few sprites when we have the time.

It would be helpful if the supposed owner of the forum came online for once in his life.

I'm basically the owner now. I don't know how long it's going to take to me to post something again until I begin producing my idea (the game).

I cant really get around to pixeling much because of school and when I do I`m usually experimenting with stuff or just staring at the screen for half an hour and not producing anything.

MM doesn't sprite much anymore. He left the site to Sim a while ago.

I've been having the same problem. I don't get much time to sprite, and when I do things don't work out too good.

Like I said, I'm trying to make a few things to post soon. Hopefully school gives us all a break soon

School is one of the reasons for me, too. And I do more animations than spriting, after the Zoro stuff I haven't really sprited at all, no ideas.

Yeah, having no ideas kinda sucks :/ you could post some animations here I guess.

Lately my sprites just don't really wanna come out right and I end up redoing stuff a couple times. Kinda upsetting sad

It is really hard for me to post stuff because of school. Well i might post some of my old sprite so people would comment and etc. We should have a group on da to advertise. We really need a lot of spriter to get on this forum. The more popular it is, the more we have people talking and posting stuff to save the forum.

Da is a popular place for spriters.

Yeah, school makes things difficult for everyone. As for the dA group, we've tried that on other sites. Usually people end up joining the group, but never actually visit the site.
This place was going strong for a while, over 70 members and all, and new posts every day. Then people just kinda started disappearing...

speaking of which, has anyone seen Retro? I haven't heard from him in quite some time :/

You can throw food on me, you can pour drinks on me, you can even spit on me, i'll just laugh that stuff off. But good reason or not, nobody hurts a friend of mine!! ~ Shanks

I've recently thought of experimenting a new spriting technique to me that involves drawing and making the animation frames on paper with tracing paper (more like baking paper since there wasn't any at my local supermarket), and then rendering them on the computer so that I can edit them* and then animate them.

*Make them actually look like sprites.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I'd try it myself, if I could draw good lol. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I haven't even seen him there since the JUSSpriter group disappeared.
