My favs are:
1. Natsu (My three favourite things are Fire, Dragons and the colour red so that's why.)
2. Makarov (Giant form kicks ass.)
3. Wendy (I like Wendy, dunno why, I just do.)
4. Gajeel (If Natsu is the Goku of this series then Gajeel is the kickass Vegeta of this series.)
5. Levy (She's smart, cute and shy...What?)
Lisanna was on the list at one point but she's done pretty much nothing since they got her back, disappointing really. That and Gajeel shot up from sixth to fourth.
I'm not really a fan of Gildarts, something about him strikes me as odd.

| yea - my theory is all dragonslayers are totally old but in their current state - they are sealed. that would explain why zeref knows natsu.

| That can't be the case, remember that we have Natsu as a little child in an earlier episode. Even if it was a flashback. Aside from that, each Dragon Slayer remembers being raised by their dragon from childhood, so they'd remember if they'd been sealed.
If I recall correctly, Zeref is the power inside that person, and they said his power was sealed, or sleeping or something, so the person may have met Natsu when Natsu was younger. Since Natsu spent most of his time searching out Dragoneel and ignoring most other things, he could have easily have forgotten him.
It may have been the case that Dragoneel met the person while Natsu was under Dragoneels tutalige, (is that the right spelling?) and that Dragoneel showed Natsu to him...
There are actually tons of things that could be the case but I guess we'll find out since the arc does seem to be about it.
I'm more interested in these 'God Slayers'/Lost Magic users.

But how exactly would they know if they've been sealed? They just remember being raised by a dragon, not birthed by one. Children don't just stumble upon dragons, so I'm agreeing with Garp on the sealing thing.

maybe the seal weakened at a certain date - (that could explain why the dragons "dissappeared")

| I'll conceed the seal thing, guess I didn't think it through enough.
But we were already told why the dragons left, they themselves stated that they vanished to keep out of events. I'm not sure why the decided to keep out of events all of a sudden because I'd say raising humans to have their strength is affecting events even now.
There was a reason God Slayers and Lost Magic users had the / between them. God Slayer is a self proclaimed title by that one guy that is going to fight Natsu, Lost Magic users is the term Hades used to describe them instead. The part where Natsu can't eat the fire is what interests me.

The new dragon slayers are probably those fake dragon slayers, like Laxus.

If we encounter one more god slayer i'll be a happy man. Although, one problem is i think Godslayers are not official and Zancrow was just a self-proclaimed God Slayer, a title to show his magic's superiority to Dragon Slayer magic.Added (2011-11-08, 3:40 Am)

| Actually, my friend had an interesting idea on the old-style dragon slayers. He claims that they ARE sealed dragons that are children of the older dragons, like igneel. This would explain why they could not exit Fried's trap AND why so many people know them! That and he believes Zeref is the shadow dragon slayer, which seems completely plausible since he summoned Acnologia.

| So many people know them because they always cause alot of trouble, but now that I've watched back some of the episodes I am starting to think they're simply young dragons and have lived over 100 years or so.
I think the current Zeref is a result of the R-System or whatever it was called that Jellal used. I think maybe when his new incomplete form was created he was given Jellals memories, Erzas heart and Natsus rage.
Also the 'God Slayer' was dissappointing, all it was was the fire magic reacting against Natsus fire magic so he couldn't eat it...Lame...
Also, I'm rebuilding my favourites list:
1. Natsu (My three favourite things are Fire, Dragons and the colour red so that's why.)
2. Wendy (She got angry when that guy insulted dragons.)
3. Makarov (Giant form kicks ass.)

I'm really disappointed in Lisanna, she seems to have had no interaction with Natsu since she returned and she was really bad in the fight she was just in, relying entirely on Mirajane. I'm also wondering how she learnt high level techniques in a world that is devoid of magic.

| Hm... I was just thinking, isn't it a little BS that Natsu didn't get promoted to S-Class? Cuz when you think about it, he beat Hades (albeit with help), and Hades beat Makarov himself. Seems like he shoulda gotten that promotion even if the trials weren't finished.
